The death has occurred of Anthony (Tony) Woods, late of Doon, Co. Limerick, lay missionary in Lodwar and Kitui dioceses, Kenya who died suddenly in Kenya on the 25th May 2023. Predeceased by his parents Valentine & Mary (Rathangan). Sadly missed by his sisters Dellie and Frances, brother Finbar, brothers-in-law Dan and Pat, nieces and nephews, cousins Dan, Bert and Peggy, Bishop Joseph Mwongela (Kitui), Bishop John Mbinda (Lodwar), the priests of St. Patrick’s Missionary Society, Kiltegan, his lay missionary colleagues, diocesan staff, his former students, and his wide circle of friends.

His burial will take place in Kenya on June 13th. A memorial Mass will take place in St. Patrick’s, Kiltegan on Friday, June 9th, at 12 noon.
